A bank could be qualified as significant if it answers one of the following criteria:
*Total assets exceeds 30 billion euro.
*Total assets over GDP of participant country exceeds 20%.
*Under notification of national competent authority.
*European central bank could choose a bank not filling this criteria.
*Cross borders banks.
*A bank asking or recieved financial assistance ( European Financial Stability Facility).
*in spite of this, the European central bank carry the conferred task for the three important credit institution in participating members.
